Oriflame the One Matte lipstick red seduction, marry maroon, raspberry pink, molten mauve & wild rose review and swatches
Hello girls, Today I am reviewing one of my favorite brand in lipstick, Oriflame. Its been long since oriflame has launched its One range of Matte lipsticks and I have been dying to lay my hands on the amazing shades. However these days its becoming all the more difficult for me to post regularly, but this one review is what I was totally looking forward for. I have always been not much of a fan of Matte lipsticks for the simple reason that I have dry flaky lips that leave creases in matte finish and also make my lips feel more dry, thus when I had to try the Oriflame the One Matte lipstick range I was a little skeptical at first. But few reviews of my fellow bloggers inspired me to try on their fabulous shades. I had heard a lot about the different warm tones that are available in the matte range and thus I picked up a few favorite shades to review! Lets check out how I fared with them.
Oriflame the One matte lipstick comes in a bluish grey lipstick casing with shades mentioned on the bottom of the lipstick box. One cannot identify the shade of the lipstick without the box as all the cases look same in case you have many shades, you will have to open them to check which one is which, and it can be tedious at times.
Oriflame the One Matte lipstick Price – 499/- inr
Oriflame the One Matte lipstick Quantity – 4 gm
It comes in hues of pink, maroons, red, mauves and chocolate, all earthen colours specially aimed for 30+ women. The shades are all warm and dark tones suitable for Indian skin tone. I can identify to these shades as I know my Mom would really love to wear any one of these any day. It does have it share of peppy pink’s and gorgeous reds though.
Oriflame Matte Lipstick – Texture
The colours I selected for review are Pink Raspberry, Marry Maroon, Red Seduction, Wild Rose & Molten Mauve. The best thing about these matte lipsticks is that they are not dry. They are creamy lipsticks which settles down into matte finish after few minutes of application, thus they do not leave my lips dry and can be worn over flaky or cracked lips equally well.
Oriflame the One Matte Lipstick – Staying Power
They have a good wearing power and last upto 5-6 hours after application even with drinking and snacking in between. The lipstick have a little glitter to them which does not show as such but gives a good definition to your lips. The pigmentation is really good and they leave a stain even after wiping off, which can be one of the reason for good staying power. These matte lipsticks can work wonders for those who have pigmented lips like me.
Oriflame the One Matte Lipstick – Swatches & Shades
Here are the swatches of Oriflame the One Matte range Lipstick. You can see the colours show a slight glitter in flash on the swatches, but they have a matte finish on the lips.
Oriflame The ONE Pink Raspberry Lipstick: This one is the most preppy colour in the Matte range with a pretty pink colour with blue undertones. The shade is a more on the blue side than the actual colour of raspberry.
Oriflame The ONE Marry Maroon: The maroon in this is as an undertone with a chocolate brown colour giving a retro-ish look to your lips.
Oriflame The ONE Red Seduction Lipstick: This is a bright red colour which goes well with all skin tones. It reminds me of my Maybeline fatal red lip colour however that one is a more on the darker side.
Oriflame The ONE Wild Rose Lipstick: This one is a muted pinkish brown shade that compliments dusky skin tone very well. In fact this one can be called more maroon than the marry maroon, if you know what I mean.
Oriflame The ONE Molten Mauve Lipstick: This is one brownish Plum colour that has a pink undertone. The shade is somewhat similar to Bobbi Brown Marrakesh Chic Desert Plum shade however this one is muted.
My Experience with Oriflame the One Matte Lipstick
The Oriflame the one matte range are highly pigmented cream based lipsticks that give a real good matte finish with a good wearing power and dusky warm shades completely apt for Indian skin tones. They can be best friends of Pigmented dry lips. They are a little high price but considering the plus, I think they will be the best bet for Indian Women as a daily office wear. Looking at the range of warm colours I think they will be a hit amongst older generation as well.
I would rate this lipsticks a good 4.5/5. Check out how I rate the individual shade based on its look and feel on my lips in the post here.
