Getting festive with Lakme 9-to-5 eye quartet in Tanjore Rush!

FOTD with Lakme 9-to-5 eye-shadow quartet- Beauty Reviews India

Hello Girls,

Today I am reviewing Lakme 9-to-5 eye quartet in Tanjore Rush. These eye shadow palettes/quartets are here since a long time now, although I never got a chance to try them before. Recently my sister got these lovely palettes for me and they were so festive so I thought of giving them a try! I mostly glam up only while attending functions or weddings, thus I prefer my eye-shadows to be bright colorful and glittery most of the times.

The lakme eye shadow Quartet comes in 4 types, Desert Rose, Peacock, Silk route & Tanjore rush. The shade Tanjore Rush has more of earthy shades with glitter and thus it is my best pick for festivities.

Packaging:

The Lakme Eyeshadow Quartet comes in sturdy square packaging with a transparent flip open cover and a spongy applicator. The packaging seems to be tough and is quite travel friendly.

Shades: The eye shadows are smooth and heavily pigmented, they are not creamy nor are they completely matte, instead they have a pearly satin like finish. The quartet comes in 4 shades a pearly shimmery purple with navy blue undertones, sitting beside it is a dark olive green with black undertones, a molten yellowish Gold  & a dark copper colour both heavily shimmered. All the shades are perfect for Indian skin tones as these are all earthy colours with lots of shimmer. However using all the shades together would mess things up considering the high pigmentation and shimmer content it has.

My Experience with Lakme Eye Shadow Quartet – Tanjore Rush

The eye shadow easily glides up giving a smooth satin finish. The palette is super shimmery and highly pigmented. It is preferable to use a sponge applicator if you are looking for intense colour. Though the Lakme Tangore rush palette lacks the routine basic shadow that includes a matte dark colour and a light highlighter, it gives a super glossy look to prep you up for festivities. It is said that, atleast one festive palette with glossy colours is a must-have in everyone’s collection and this one can be just that. The eye-shadows are of perfect texture being not too matte and not to creamy blend well and stay nicely put even without a primer for approx 3-4 hours. Despite the glossy finish there is not much fall out unlike other glittery eye-shadow, which is a plus. The colour starts to mix with each other after few hours before wearing off completely.
