OOTD – Handcrafted Anarkali Kurti for Summer fashion 2015
Some time in our college days, many of us have tried the bohemian tribal look with cute cotton kurti’s, funky Jholas, geeky glasses, bold accessories and “I don’t give a damn attitude” and I am sure this look is sure to rock on any one. I totally swear by the tribal chic look with trendy hand bags and pretty juti’s, Some people like to call it the journo look (as it gives a journalist vibe!!???)
So today I thought to do an OOTD of this pretty motif printed kurti with vibrant Kutch hand embroidery that is comfortable and chic (what else could I ask for in this scorching summer??) The cotton material stays super cool in Summers and gives me ( & the baby) lot of air to breathe 😉
I bought this kurti from my home-town baroda in Gujarat in just 550/- inr (Yea even I couldn’t believe) I have washed it twice at home along with my other clothes, the colour does not fade away neither does it bleed. The handwork also has stayed intact. This has reinstated my faith in street shopping yet again! 😉
I paired it up with a funky cotton jhola bought from a local handicraft shop there. Both the embroidery on the kurti as well as Hand bag have mirror work which I totally love. Keeping everything else clutter free I just added up a little zing with over-sized colourful wooden earrings and black jutis.
A touch of blazing red on my lips with oriflame’s red sensation, a dash of kajal and maybeline compact and I am pretty much done! 😀
Its pretty and simple yet I love the way it looks on me, mostly because it’s an Anarkali style kurti so I can still wear it..:)
Hope you liked the OOTD post. Tell me your views on it in the comments below.
