1. Trend Alert – Vintage Florals:
The grand opening of LFW Spring Summer 2015 saw our favourite designer Sabyasachi bringing in a lot of floral blood with Vintage florals. Flowy maxi gowns of the 70’s, the floor touching floral skirts & matching seperates made way onto the ramp with elegant grandeur. Florals are a Summer staple, but this year designers have taken cue from the paris and milan fashion week to bring in a lot of classic vintage look to the florals. The floral printed sarees of sabyasachi, floral embroideries of Manish Malhotra & Suneet Verma, tribal floral motifs of Krishna mehta and quirky florals prints of Ken ferns give us a lot of choice to pick for this Summer.
2. Trend Alert – Graphic prints & Bohemian look:
Digital or Graphic prints with Bohochic look is one trend that has stormed the International fashion weeks and paved way into Indian fashion scenario. From trendy quirky animal prints to fashion graphics and tropical rainforest all things shout out Bohochic look! Designers like Quirkbox, Papa Dont preach & Asmita Marwa ensemble a pop riot of graphic prints and vibrant colours to work upto this summer.
3. Trend Alert – Tribal prints & ethnic patterns:
An alternative to bohemian look is the tribal look which has been favored by designers who fuse the international bohochic trend into ethnic traditional embroidery & prints. After graphics, tribal prints were the most striking trend of Summers we will be the new street style & teenage fashion favorite. From fringed sachets and ethnic danglers to tribal prints and accesories, designers like Krishna Mehta, Neha Aggarwal, visra & Suneet Verma brought an electic collection of tradition meets trend for the young fashionistas.
4. Trend Alert – Edgy Capes & Overcoats:
The structured silhoutes at Anamika Khanna, Riddhi Mehra, Tarun Tahiliani, Nishka Lulla & Quirkbox presented edgy Capes in all forms from sheer to vibrant and embroidered. Outer covering in forms of over-coats, shrugs and Capes is a huge hit this summers. Against the regular norm outer-wears are just not limited to Winters now, but light breezy outer wears are becoming the Summer hot favorite.
5. Trend Alert – Funky Shorts & Culottes:
Skorts and mini flare shorts from previous seasons have been a hot favorite this summers, even in ethnic outfits.
Culottes is a major trend borrowed from Paris & Newyork fashion Week’s Spring Summer season. Best worn as Work-wear culottes are well tailored pants that end just above the ankle length that look super sexy with cropped tops and suit jackets.
