Outfit of the day – Navratri Outfit post & Make-up Day 1
As most of you by now know, I am a Gujarati by blood and by heart! 😛 So it was mandatory that I had to visit Baroda this Navratri Season and flaunt some gorgeous chaniya choli ( duly begged, borrowed and put together sorts! :P) It so turns out that I had my cousin’s engagement function scheduled last Sunday in Baroda and I got to visit my family and friends, do lots of fun shopping and most majorly dance to the tunes of “Dholida dhol” & ” Leeli Limdi re..”
I had to put together myself an outfit for navratri since my trip to Baroda was unplanned and I had not done any shopping for the navratri outfit’s as well! However that could not deter my resolution to dance on the tunes of garba, So on Day one I decided to wear my sequin choli ( I bought it as a saree blouse :P) and paired it up with sister’s crushed skirt (gifted to her), I threw a black net duppata (from my anarkali dress ) and voila my choli ghaghra for the first night of dandiya was ready!
I agree this was not the authentic chaniya choli, but this is exactly what I wanted. A pseudo take on ghaghra choli that is comfortable & trendy. I think i fared well there. To take care of the bling department, I did glam it up with my antique gold and black stone chokar neck piece (courtesy Colaba Causeway! ) that I have been using diligently since past 3 years now! And a matching black stone bracelet from Accessorize flagship store at Pheonix Mall, Pune. Red lips by Maybeline (Fatal Red review here!)
Chambor Eye definer Black (review coming soon!) eyeliner, Maybeline Colossal Kajal & Fatal Red lipstick from Maybeline, completed my look. Keeping it simple! Keeping it Light! Rocking the Dandiya Night!
