Surendri by Yogesh Chaudhary at Lakme Fashion Week – Winter Festive 2014
So much for the sunny sunflowers that now you can wear them in Winter! Surendri by Yogesh Chaudhary brings Sunflower print right in your wardrobe with their “Chandrawal” Collection showcased at lakme fashion week winter festive 2014. The collection is inspired by the 1984 cult classic film, Chandrawal which is dedicated to the indomitable spirit of working woman. The film portrays a gypsy Chandrawal who travels across lands and falls in love with the arch-nemesis of her tribe. The collection celebrates love in true blue harayanvi Summer with lots of sunflowers blooming.
The collection is a celebration of love in the Harayanvi summer. Incorporating sunflowers as the prime leitmotif that signifies the harvest, Chandrawal presents a sharp lineup of corporate dressing, with the unique utilization of menswear suiting fabrics. Decoding and reimagining/deconstructing the ‘original Indian white shirt’ is the essence/crucial part of the newest addition to Surendri’s seasonal collections. The concept day to night dressing continues to be the brand ideology, with an assortment of knitwear to Indian wear composing the collection seamlessly, in a nutshell, Chandrawal embodies power-dressing.
