Navratri Trends 2014- RamLeela inspired trends for Navratra this season
Navratri is not even a week away and most of us are already shop hopping to get the trendiest navratri chaniya choli’s for this season. Meanwhile Fashionmate brings you live from Gujarat the current trends in Navratri outfit aka Chaniya choli’s, jewelry and Make-up for Navratri 2014.
Navratri starts from 25th of September, 2014 and Gujarat is buzzing with awesomest Ghagra Choli’s for this year. Being a Gujarati it becomes my soul duty to bring a shade of this vibrant colorful festival on my blog for my fashion readers. As we already told you Ethnic handicraft’s, mirror work and tribal prints are a major fashion statement’s this year I am majorly crushing on one of these Ghagras.
This year’s Ghagra choli are majorly inspired from RamLeela Movie wherein Deepika flaunts Tie-dyed black and Red cruhsed Ghagra with Bright bold borders. Majority Ghagras are ankle lenght with bright broad borders and kutchchi or Ikat handwork.
Bold vibrant colours like hot pink, Blue, Yellow and Black are totally trending. Crushed materials plain ghagra with no much embellishment and heavy ethic hand work borders are taking place of the normal glittery heavily embellished chaniya choli’s of the previous years.
Animal and fruit prints rocked the ramps this year for all the national and international fashion week’s. Navratri Ghagras are not behind in prepping up your wardrobe with animal prints. Parrot and elephant print hand-work borders are a rave this season.
Glitz and glamour of navratri continues to show up in gota gold and silver panel borders, heavy hand work embroidery and sea-shell latkans.
Choli’s are vibrant, colourful hand embroidered crop top’s style choli’s with back cut-out’s and Deep back’s. Again taking cue’s from Deepika’s outfit’s styled by Anju Modi. The chaniya choli’s are heavily bent on white, red and black colours. Bandhani or Bandhej tie-dye material has been lavishly used.
The duppata’s this year are light and breezy giving the khelaiyas enough comfort to dance to the tunes of “Nagadas”:) Net material duppata’s with motifs and borders are a rave this year. The colourfull duppatas will sort of balance out the plain ghagras.
Materials like crushed silk and laheriya print fabric seemed to have taken center stage at the shops in Ahmedabad. Law garden is overflowing with ethnic this time of the year. Just like the outfit’s jewelry trends are also evolving this year. Stay tuned to know the various jewelry and make-up trends for Navratri this year!!
Meanwhile start practicing the steps of “leeli lemdi re lilo nagarvel no pan” & “Nagaada sang Dhol Baaje” with Bollywood hottie Deepika Padukone.
