Style File: What I wore today!! First ever Outfit of the day! Polka Dots and Red Lips
I have always been in awe of the amazing outfit post’s my fellow bloggers have been putting up! 4 years in Blogging but I have never had the courage to come out in open and do one myself!! (Yes, I can be a little introvert at times! 😛 ) Moreover I did not think it to be a very good idea, untill a friend of mine actually pushed me into doing one! So here I am doing my first ever “Outfit of the day” post shelling out tips on “What I wore today!” After a lot of choosing and selecting I came up with the perfect outfit to start my outfit post with!! I have always been a major fan of Polka dots (who hasn’t? right?) They are so retro and yet so chic! My affair with polka started way back in early 90’s when my Mom had put to-gather a lovely Blue and white polka-dot frock for a very young me! Remember I recently showed you my discounted shopping haul where I got myself a polka-dot outfit? Well, what better could define my first post than the pretty polka dots and Red lips(review coming soon)?
So I thought of having some fun with accessories and tried coming up with two different look for the same outfit, I ain’t sure which one I liked better, thus keeping both for you to decide! 😉Dress: EAVAN White polka-dot dress from Myntra Potli Earrings: Zanzar Silver accessories Clutch: Colaba Causeway Bracelet: Gift from my Sister (from Brussels) Shoes: Bangkok Indra Mall Lipstick: Maybeline clouressential Fatal Red (review here) Watch: Titan Raga (gift from Hubby)
So for my first look I took to sticking to the basic black of the polka dot matching it up with black clutch, shoes and oxidized earrings.
For my second look, I tried matching up with the red bow ribbon of the dress and my bold red lips, taking the red color ahead with red clutch, diamond earrings and white silver watch.Dress: EAVAN White polka-dot dress from Myntra Diamond earrings: SIA Jewelry Mouse Pendent: Colaba Causeway Clutch: Bella Fashion Accessories ( F C Road) Watch: Thrift Store (Mumbai)
I chose to keep the accessories minimum and make-up quite natural so as to give the sober touch to the outfit. The fit and flare dress is apt for an evening High-tea, a sunday brunch or even a semi-professional meeting. I personally would use it for my fashion interviews and Vlogs with fashion designers ! (You may choose to disagree!)
This one was totally natural pic where in I was trying to adjust my watch and my friend photographer clicked it, however it turned out to be so lovely I couldn’t stop myself from sharing.:D Polka make me pretty and I am not saying look pretty, I feel pretty when I don polka-dot in any form. Be it a scarf, a polka dot crunchie, polka-dot hair band and Yeah I even have a polka dot sweat-heart print pants!! (that too in pink! yaay!) So there I said it, I am a polka fan!
This is my mouse pendent. Ain’t it cute? I love this piece just for the amount of funkiness it brings to my look.
And those red lips are by Maybeline Fatal Red lip colour! I have been using it since past two years now and I have decided to come up with a review soon! Eye make-up consists of Lakme eye-conic Kajal, Oriflame stylo Eyeliner and Lakme Eyeconic Luminous Curling Mascara!
